Day for Social Justice

The famous quote, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere,” by Martin Luther King, Jr. seems to be an appropriate one today.

Today, February 20th, is the first ever "World Day for Social Justice" following its unanimous adoption by the 192 member States of the United Nations during their November 2007 General Assembly. The observance has been created to promote poverty eradication, the promotion of full employment and decent work, gender equity and access to social well-being and justice for all.

No websites with info on the observance give advice on what to do on this day. Why have an "observance" if there is nothing that can be done to observe or help out and promote it. If you have an idea, let's start a list.

Quote of the Day: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Martin Luther King Jr. (1929 - 1968)
